The construction of a tourist house

Boat tours are served from lodgings in two round Uru tourist houses, some 8m in diameter, which house 8 persons in each. The roofed connection between them houses a modest bathroom and kitchenette. The houses were built using traditional Uru methods, combined with modern windows and doors. The celebration of the house completion was a feast for all, beginning with speeches from the local authorities and school teacher, songs and dances from the local schoolchildren, then followed by dancing for all to music played by a traditional dance troop
